At Neilston Dental Surgery we have a wide variety of dental implant options available to patients who require an effective, long-lasting form of tooth replacement. You may have lost one tooth, several teeth or you may require replacement for an entire arch of teeth. We recommend dental implants for complete arch replacement because they have so many benefits including:

  • Lasting a long time, sometimes decades
  • Replacing the tooth root so bone loss does not occur
  • No change in speech or the way you need to eat or care for your teeth daily
  • Looking and feeling as natural as possible
  • No need to remove for cleaning
  • Crowns are completely secure but are also replaceable if you need bite adjustment

Dental implants are a fantastic option for full arch teeth replacements and with the right maintenance and cleaning, they can last for many years following treatment.

full arch implantsFull Arch Replacement

There are two main options for complete arch replacement using the revolutionary treatment of dental implants. The first is All On 4 which is designed so that patients can come in and get a completely new arch of teeth in a day. It uses around 4 implants in the mouth which are angled to strengthen them. They can then support a full arch of teeth so you can leave the surgery with a completely new smile following your appointment.

Alternatively, if you do not want or are not suitable for All On 4, we can provide individual dental implants linked with bridges. It is a more costly and time consuming option and will take more than a day to complete. This option may also be more likely to require a bone graft. However, some patients do prefer this option because the results can be more natural, realistic and durable longer term. We can provide you with lots of information about both options and help you make an informed decision that works best for you.

Aftercare

Implant aftercare is the key to the long-term success of treatment. We will provide you with a thorough and detailed maintenance and check-up plan following treatment, to ensure your implants stay with you for as long as possible. With regular cleaning and with the right advice, implants can provide a natural and strong set of teeth for decades. In some instances, dental implants can provide patients with a beautiful smile for life!
